Once you are balanced, gradually raise your hands and join them together in a prayer position. Hold on for 8 to 10 seconds and then repeat with the other leg. This vrikshasana is a wonderful pose for developing your body balance skills and it also fortifies your thighs, spine as well as ankles.

4The Child Pose or Balasana

5The Warrior Pose or Virabhadrasana

The warrior pose is also a yoga for beginners. Start by standing with legs about three feet apart from each other. Now, turn your right foot out at the ninety-degree angle and bring in your left foot up to some extent.

Now stretch out your arms at the sides so that they get parallel to the ground. Keep your palms down. Bend your right knee, again at ninety degrees and look at your right hand. Stay in this pose for 30 seconds or more. Repeat the process with the other leg also.

Just as the name of this yoga posture indicates, you have to make a bridge shape with your body. Lay down on your back on the mat. Bend your knees. Bring your feet close to your hips. Stretch down your arms with palms down. Now lift your hips up so that your thighs get approximately parallel to the floor.

Pull your shoulders back and raise your chin. The bridge pose is helpful in strengthening the spine and is a good posture for stretching thighs also. If you have got any back problem, consult an expert before performing this pose.

7Lying Flat Pose or Shavasana

This is the easiest of all yoga asanas. All you need to do is to lie down and relax your body. Take a mat and spread it on the floor. Remove your slippers and lie down on your back on the floor. Keep your legs at hip width apart and rest your arms at forty-five degrees with palms up. Now just close your eyes and try to relax.

At the first impression, this asana looks very easy but to stay relax and doing nothing for few seconds is really difficult as we humans just cannot stop thinking! However, what you need to endeavor in this yoga pose is to stay away from negative thoughts, stay focused on your asana and keep breathing deeply. Shavasana is an amazing yoga pose for getting relaxed.
